Our story

Farm waste in, steady heat out

Sanron KLC Biofuel Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies biomass briquettes and pellets to factories across North India. Our plant in Hisar district buys crop residue from local farmers and compresses it into fuel.

Every tonne of residue we buy is a tonne that isn't burned in the fields after harvest, a major cause of North India's winter smog. Our customers get a uniform, locally made fuel to replace coal, and farmers earn from what used to be waste.

Beyond supplying fuel, we help plants plan the switch to biomass so their boilers run efficiently.

Questions

Before you switch

Briquettes or pellets: which one do I need?

Briquettes (70–90 mm) suit boilers with a fixed or travelling grate and FBC boilers, which most plants already run on coal. Pellets (8–20 mm) suit automatic pellet burners, smaller hot-water boilers and air heaters. Tell us your boiler make and capacity and we will recommend one.

Which product gives the most heat?

Groundnut briquettes and pellets and sawdust pellets reach 3,800–4,200 kcal/kg. Mustard briquettes give 3,300–3,700 kcal/kg and are usually the most economical.

Do you add binders or chemicals?

No. The residue is compressed under high pressure and holds together on its own.

Will I need more tonnes than coal?

Usually yes, because biomass has a lower heat value per kilogram than most coal. Use the fuel calculator above to see how many tonnes match your current coal use and what the switch saves.

Do you deliver to my state?

We deliver by road to Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Madhya Pradesh. For other locations, send an enquiry and we will check.
